Product Description
The PING G440 HL Hybrid takes everything that makes the standard G440 Hybrid effective and re-tunes the weighting for golfers with moderate to slower swing speeds who need more help getting the ball airborne. The HL (High Launch) configuration positions the CG lower and further back than the standard hybrid, producing a higher, steeper launch angle that carries further and drops softer — without requiring the player to swing any harder. Like the standard G440, each loft carries its own flight bias: the 3 (20°) and 4 (23°) are neutral for long approach stopping power, while the 5 (26°), 6 (30°), and 7 (34°) carry a draw bias for seamless gapping into the scoring irons.
The face is 8% shallower and 6% thinner for faster ball speeds. Free-Hosel technology drops the CG by 12% via 4 grams of hosel weight savings. The CarbonFly Wrap crown and contoured sole complete the forgiveness package. Trajectory Tuning 2.0 allows 8 positions of loft and lie adjustment. Available only in Soft Regular flex — the lightest, most launch-friendly option — in 3 through 7, right and left hand. No 2-hybrid in the HL lineup: the 17° slot is better served by the standard G440 2H for players who need that tee-shot trajectory control.
